Rare 2012 COPO Camaro Convertible Debuting at SEMA Show Before Hitting Auction Block
Didn’t get your hands on one of the 2012 Chevrolet COPO Camaros? Well, now may be your last chance, as the final 2012 COPO Camaro is headed to the auction block after it makes an appearance at the SEMA show this week. All COPO Camaros are specially prepared for the National Hot Rod Association’s Stock Eliminator and Super Stock race categories, and come with a solid rear axle, roll cage, twin bucket seats, Chevrolet Performance gauges, and a racing shifter. The one up for auction, however, may be the most distinctive one because it’s the last one built number 69, the only one painted in an Inferno Orange color, and the only example built with a Turbo 400 three-speed automatic. It’s also only one of two convertibles built, and one of 20 COPO Camaros to be powered by the 327 engine and 4.0-liter supercharger. Total output is an NHRA-certified 550 hp.
