Chevrolet discontinued production of the Camaro in 2002. In March of 2009, Chevrolet started production on a new Camaro. The new Camaro is a very popular pony car/muscle car. I see Camaros everyday on Houston roads and highways. Both old and new Camaros are on display at the various car shows in Houston. At the Houston Auto Show, General Motors/Chevrolet brings a Camaro SS available for test drives.
Despite Cars.com reviewer Joe Wiesenfelder’s affinity for the Ford Mustang Boss 302, he was pleasantly surprised by the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE when he had a chance to open it up at Roebling Road Raceway in Georgia. Wiesenfelder appreciated the quick throttle response from the 426-horsepower, 6.2-liter V-8 and found the 1LE’s ride quality and handling nice for a track-tuned car. Be careful taking this baby off the track, though: Cool features like that aerodynamics-improving splitter are great for speed, but not so great on speed bumps. 
Sometimes, despite the cliché, seeing really is believing. Watching the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 drop its top lets you know you’ll be coming across this car for the rest of your life. It is destined to never be forgotten. Whatever factors you think may go into designating a car an “instant classic,” the convertible version of the Camaro ZL1 likely ticks off most of the boxes on your mental list. 
If cars were judge solely on the sounds coming from the tailpipe, the Camaro ZL1 convertible would be among finest automobiles Chevy has made in years. 
It might seem like we’ve compared every combination of Mustang versus Camaro that exists. We pitted V-6 against RS, GT against SS, and even ran the mighty Mustang Boss 302 and GT500 against the Camaro ZL1. Still, two models have gotten away from grille-to-grille competition thus far: the Camaro SS 1LE and the Mustang GT Track Pack.
