The Southfield-based American Heart Association, Midwest Affiliate is expecting 800 people for its 10th annual Go Red For Women Luncheon slated for Feb. 15.
Thats up from 600 attendees last year, when the event at the MGM Grand Detroit Casino netted $500,000 for cardiovascular research.

This year on Feb. 1, the organization will also mark the 10th anniversary of the associations National Wear Red Day which raises awareness and fund for research into heart disease.
The American Heart Association will be the designated beneficiary this Saturday evening when General Motors Chevrolet brand auctions off the final 2012 COPO Camaro production model at the annual Barrett-Jackson luxury automotive auction in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Designed for drag racing, the factory-assembled Camaro is one of only two convertibles built in 2012 and is car number 69 of the 69 built.
Fans can bid on the car in person at the auction or online at www.barrett-jackson.com, with live coverage of the charity auction on the Speed Channel.
