STEVE PETTY TO CREW CHIEF FOR COUGHLIN’S TURBO PRO MOD

The most notable change in Troy Coughlins JEGS.com turbo Chevy Camaro this season is crew chief Steve Petty, who Coughlin says knows a thing or two about making a turbo motor sing. Until this move Petty was working for the Roger Burgess R2B2 racing operation.

“Theres very few people better with a turbo engine than Steve,” said Coughlin, a past world champion in Pro Street. “Theres a reason he won four of the last five races. Hes good. But even Steve needs some time to become acquainted with this particular race car. Every car and engine is a little different. So Steve needs some time to get to know the equipment weve got and then let his talent take over.”
