“Awesome, Absolutely Amazing” Aaron Steele Sums Up First Day Of Daytona Testing

Aaron Steele’s descriptions of his first laps of Daytona International Speedway’s sportscar course were uncompromising.

“My first taste of American Road Racing has been awesome, absolutely amazing!” said Steele. “The Camaro is completely different to my F3 car but it’s great to drive and a fantastic car.”

Following his victory in the Sunoco Grand-Am 200 Challenge Steele was testing a Chevrolet Camaro with Mitchum Motorsport at the official test ahead of the race itself, with supports the Rolex 24 at Daytona later this month.

“I couldn’t believe how steep the Daytona banking was when I saw it,” the Kent based driver described the Florida track’s dizzying 31-degree banking, “but the first time I came up to it I just thought put your foot down and have faith! The car stuck and went full power!”
